Board games in person are perfect for this, but digital board games can make enjoying the hobby that bit easier when a room full of people isn’t at your disposal. Getting together with friends in a room filled to the brim with drinks, snacks, music and more gives tabletop gaming a major edge over the likes of video games. After all, the social element of tabletop gaming is a major reason as to why people enjoy it so much. But if you’re all good sports and friends, this factor should not break the game or make unenjoyable.While digital board games aren’t quite the same as their tabletop counterparts, playing board games on mobile and PC can have major advantages over their cardboard cousins. Given the rich history of the game’s developer, Paradox Interactive, it serves as an excellent question to ask. Like any good strategy game, these types of drawn-out campaigns are great to play with a friend. It’s a tactical, 4X turn-based strategy game where players choose one of the six available factions and engage in combat, diplomacy, and consistent expansion to ensure their empire stands as the victors.
